| MY PARENTS |
My father was an
executive with Texaco. As such, he traveled extensively and taught me to never
quit. Upon retiring, he headed the Lake LBJ Municipal Utility District for 11 years.
When he
passed away, the community honored him with the dedication of a park in his name.

David and Patsy Martin |
My mother was a
multi-faceted artist and a substitute teacher. She was an avid golfer with several
club championships to her credit. Mostly, she was a great friend and nurturing
mother. |

Some wood sculptures carved by my mother.

| In 1998 I
met a woman, to whom I became engaged in 1999. Although we didn't get married,
during our relationship I emotionally adopted her children, and have continued to maintain
a relationship with them that I cherish to this day. |

| MY
FERRETS |
| I got
these guys at Petco in early 2008. They were about 6-7 months old when I got
them. They're a barrel of laughs and super easy to take care of. While they
have a 4-story condominium that I bought at Pet Smart, they prefer the fireplace which has
access to a two-story condo outdoors on my deck via a pipe I ran through the fireplace
clean-out. There's a maze of pipe that leads to a fenced area below the deck so they
can play in the dirt as well. Check it out in my Tinkering
Section. |

|
| Poor
little Bevis passed away on October 18, 2008 from what seemed to be some kind of
stroke. My friend Becky and her daughter went with me to the pet store and picked
out my newly adopted friend for Butthead, which we named Zorro . . . The papers that the
pet store clerk gave us said that Zorro was born August 10th, which is my
birthday!!!! How ironic is that? Zorro, immediately attached himself to Butthead as you can see in the
photo on the right. |
