Registered voters living within the boundaries of the newly incorporated territory of the Village of Horseshoe Bay are eligible to vote.  Horseshoe Bay is located in both Llano and Burnet Counties.  The Llano County Clerk will be running the city’s election for both counties.  Those Horseshoe Bay residents who live in Burnet County will vote at their regular voting location in Cottonwood Shores on Election Day, November 8. 

If you are not registered to vote in Burnet or Llano Counties, and wish to change your registration from elsewhere, you must file a new voter registration form with the County Clerk prior to October 8, 2005.

ABSENTEE or MAIL VOTING

If you expect to be absent from Llano County during early voting and on Election Day, you may request to vote by mail.  To obtain an application to vote by mail, call the Llano County Clerk’s Office at (325) 247-4455 and ask for an application to be sent to you.  After reviewing the application, the Clerk will mail you a ballot.  The absentee ballot must be mailed to an address outside Llano County (you can indicate on the application when and where you want to receive the ballot) and returned to the Clerk with a postmark from outside Llano County.

If you are over 65, you may request to vote by mail by calling the Llano County Clerk’s Office at (325) 247-4455.  She will mail your ballot to your home address in Horseshoe Bay. 

All requests for ballots by mail must be made before November 1, 2005. 

We will be electing one mayor and five city council members.
Each voter may vote for one person for mayor and for five persons for council.
You may vote for one, two, three, four or five persons for council, but
you cannot vote twice for one person.
