Spencer Aimes (Ashton Kutcher) and Jen Kornfeldt (Katherine Heigl) couldn't be more different. Spencer is a hired assassin, accustomed to a life of fast cars, beautiful women, and killing for hire. Jen, on the other hand, is a beautiful, fun loving computer tech, on vacation with her parents Mr. (Tom Selleck) and Mrs. Kornfeldt (Catherine O'Hara), trying to get over a bad breakup with a serious boyfriend. For some reason, however, sparks fly between Spencer and Jen, and their torrid romance results in a quick marriage. Spencer moves back with Jen, and vows to end his life of being an assassin. He's successful for about 3 years, until his past catches up with him, and numerous assassins come out of the woodwork, determined to earn the bounty on his head. Spencer and Jen suddenly don't know who they can trust, and who in their lives are actually killers that have been posing as friends, neighbors, or acquaintances for years.
