Catching a plane takes on a whole new meaning in this heist film. After a jewelry store theft goes badly, the crooks have more trouble when their fence (Danny DeVito) stiffs them. He holds back their share until they steal a plane load of gold bars. Reluctantly, Joe Moore (Gene Hackman), his wife Fran (Rebecca Pidgeon), and his crew (Delroy Lindo and Ricky Jay) setup the job. The are forced to include the fence's nephew Jimmy (Sam Rockwell), a cocky troublemaker. Joe's impeccable planning makes for a fairly smooth heist, but that was the easy part. It's once they have the gold that the real trouble starts.
