HOME
SWEET HOME
ON THE WATER
|
 |

|
My home is in a
resort community called Horseshoe Bay
Horseshoe Bay is on Lake LBJ, which
is one of a series of lakes on the Colorado River in the Texas Hill Country. . |
I wake up to
beautiful sunrises every morning and enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck to start the day.
|
 |
 |
I also love sunset cruises and
moonlit nights on the lake in the boat. |
BOATING,
SKIING, JET SKIING
One of my most
enduring interests is activities on the water. I enjoy just cruising the lake, water
skiing, jet skiing, tubing, swimming, diving, floating and parasailing.

PARASAILING
My friends, Richard,
Anita and Mike Welsh, operate a parasail boat out of Austin. They generously fly me
around whenever they venture out to Lake LBJ. In return I have provided them with a
website (www.airscapeparasail.com).

THE
PARTY BARGE
Several friends of
mine got together and built this 30', 2 story, tiki barge (right). They own it
through their company, "Fun Ain't Cheap, Inc.". I have been privaledged to
share in the fun of this traveling party platform. We park this on the sand bar and
party the day away with music, bbq and livations from the fully stocked bar.
Unfortunately, this boat sank in 2003 and is now in dry dock.
HERE'S A FEW PICS . .

BUMPER
BOAT FOOTBALL
My friend Charlie and
I own (4) bumper boats. A six foot rubber tube, powered by a 2 hp gasoline motor,
these are just like being at the amusement park. We have a game of football played
by two teams in the boats which is a splash a minute. |
TROPICAL
BEACHES & SNORKELING
Growing up we spent
many a family vacation at beaches on the east coast. After my first year in college
I spent the summer on the pacific coast in Malibu. In the Air Force I was stationed
in Biloxi, Mississippi and upon settling in Houston I visited Galveston
occassionally. Despite being around it so much, I never really grew attached to the
beach or the salt water . . . until I discovered Cozumel! Now I go at least once
each year. |

 |
SAILING
While living in
Houston we often went to Clear Lake and rented a 36-40' sailboat and headed for Galveston
Bay. We'd spend either a long day or a whole weekend sailing the ship channel and
the Bay.
Someday I would like
to rent a sailboat in Florida and sail up the intercoastal waterway to Washington D.C. |
